DEVIANTART! Nowhere will you find a more wretched hive of scum and villany...we must be cautious.
Maybe all men got one big soul that everyone's a part of. All faces are the same man....one big self.

Once again I'm going on the road less traveled and try and be a little more critical of things. Don't mind me, just writing what I see.
The straight lines are pretty dominant across the shot so when I come across the satellite dish it's got that oval that stands out. Being unique in the sense of having curves gives it a little more power than it deserves. My attention went there expecting a main character but was a little confused as it's not really (unless Gastown is a satellite TV lovin' kind of place. )
The color of the dish goes along with the windows and the horizontal piece to its left and the rectangles all look to be pointing at us while the dish is "looking" off screen. Adds for some curiosity, but given the title, I'm not sure if I want to find out anything more.
Other places of emphasis are the top, right, and bottom which kind of directs my attention around the edges and I'm having a hard time figuring out what for, as in what's the point of these basic shapes and their position. There's more space in the middle but it's not commanding much attention. It does provide for some good contrast, though.
The greyish box - top left - seems a bit out of place, as though it was added later. It appears to be floating in front and again I'm not sure what it adds.
There's an interesting effect of layering going on between the foreground (bottom) and background (top) separated by horizontal bars except for the last one which is at an angle. The brightness of the top is, relatively speaking, more in line with the brightness found in the foreground so I think my head wants to make it 'pop out', as though it's at the same distance. Kind of weird because my melon knows it's not.
There are other elements that I find trying to put together like the box - top right - and the...uh...air conditioner? (towards bottom left) and the stand of the dish as they've got similar tones but I can't put together any other connection. May be due to the head full of cotton after an evening snooze.
All that said, there is a sort of character to the shot with the dark, mouldy looking walls, variations in texture.
Anyways, sorry for the ramble. It's been a while since my last attempt at commenting so it might not be as coherent as I'd like.
